Sai Surya

Surya is an emerging Data Science professional serving as Program Support in the EdTech division at Exafluence, where he contributes to academic and technical operations for MS Data Science programs. His core expertise spans Python programming, SQL, Machine Learning, automation, and dashboard development. He supports learners in understanding applied data science concepts, assists with technical workflows, and contributes to problem-solving efforts within the academic environment.

 Surya has guided 25+ undergraduate and postgraduate students in Python, Data Science, and Database Management. He is skilled at simplifying complex technical ideas, preparing structured teaching material, and supporting students through debugging, project execution, and concept reinforcement. His work also extends to supporting full stack fundamentals and cloud basics as part of EdTech program delivery.

Surya has contributed to applied projects, including a study on website fingerprinting attacks and defenses using deep learning, where he helped optimize model pipelines, improve accuracy, and streamline dataset processing. He also developed an automated RedBus data extraction system using Selenium and built an interactive data dashboard using Streamlit, completing the full workflow from scraping to visualization. These projects highlight his practical ability to combine machine learning, automation, and data engineering workflows.

His professional journey is supported by certifications from GUVI in Advanced Programming and Data Science, and an internship with IBM SkillBuild in front-end development. He has published research at a national conference, demonstrating improvements in accuracy and performance for deep learning-based fingerprinting detection. Beyond academics and technical work, Surya has coordinated over ten large-scale events as an activity head, improving participant engagement and managing end-to-end execution responsibilities.
